We have rolled out another great feature for our artists, and I’m excited to tell you about it.

You can now customize a slide-out ad that will show up when your music plays on Earbits, providing listeners with a way to click through to any promotion you have going. Whether you are looking for votes in a contest, selling a new album, giving away a free download, or any other number of uses, these ads are a great way to engage with your fans.

Custom Promo Ads for Artists on Earbits

You can access the slide-out promo ad by logging in to your artist dashboard (https://dashboard.earbits.com/dashboard/login), and setting it up is simple:

We are pleased to announce that we’ve made life easier for artists one more time by teaming up with the good folks at BandPage.  BandPage, the hub where over 600,000 musicians manage and control their online presence, just expanded their reach with BandPage Connect, allowing artists to instantly integrate their BandPage profile onto the most powerful social and music platforms across the web.

That means that BandPage artists can now submit music for consideration to Earbits in about 15 seconds using the BandPage Connect button.  They’ve also launched the BandPage Connect Center, a gallery where musicians can find out about opportunities like crowdfunding powerhouse PledgeMusic,  or PR marketing service and Earbits partner StoryAmp.

MusicNomad.com has long been a staple of the music community, providing a comprehensive resource of great services for artists.  They’ve recently redesigned the site and launched new features.

Here is the official release:

MusicNomad.com celebrates 4 year anniversary with a major website overhaul and a revolutionary touring tool called My TourManager

Sonoma, CA Aug 20th 2012: Since 2008, MusicNomad.com <http://www.musicnomad.com>  has been helping for free hundreds of thousands of musicians find qualified and ranked resources to produce, sell and support their music. Now after 4 years of vetting out thousands of resources and finding the best of the best, they have re-launched their website to allow musicians to customize, manage and interact with their data.

There is no question that you can raise a huge amount of funding on Kickstarter with the right product, or the right fan base.  But when you don’t have 500,000+ rabid fans, or a wrist watch that brings us one step closer to the cyborg takeover, what you really need to do is stand out.  Certainly there is no shortage of advice about how to launch successfully on Kickstarter.  But in addition to that, getting people to share your campaign with others can prove tremendously valuable, and nothing spreads faster on the internet than great videos.
